All the time and effort were worth it. I love my 2007 365 books!

  4. So nice! Did you arrange them by date or by topic ... or some other way?

  5. Answers to a few questions:

The Creative Memories one is 12x12 and 59 pages. The Picaboo one is 8 1/2 x 11 and 70 pages. The Picaboo was a lot less expensive and much easier (and fun) to put together with numerous options, but I do like the quality of the Creative Memories one. It is very sturdy. I like both of them for different reasons. Overall, Picaboo wins out for the future.

Dates: Yes, I arranged them by date, but I didn't always say the date on the page because sometimes things were not exactly chronological but close in time and fit on a collage page better.

Time: I made several goals for the year, and one of them was to catch up on my photos. With each picture 4-5MB, it is really HARD because of the space on our hard drive and external hard drive. I didn't think I would have time, but you know me when I get an idea and goal in mind. :) I thoroughly enjoyed the three all-nighters that I pulled to get it done by January 14 (my mom's birthday RIP). I want to say it was my gift to her since 2007 was quite an eventful year starting with her 80th birthday bash and ending with her home going. When I got to the day of her death in my photo book, I looked at the clock and realized it was just past midnight of her 84th birthday. Doing these books were a spiritual experience. Can't explain it. I laughed and I cried through the whole process. Definitely worth the time, but it was exhausting.

All in all, joy was the final outcome! (The 20 somethings couldn't believe I put a picture of me having a pap smear in there and looked at the books with much laughter!)

For 2011, you can bet your boots I am deleting anything I know I won't print up! I am also cataloging the pictures in a folder on Flickr. Picaboo has a fabulous download directly from Flickr and even creates the book for you (but I decided to do it page by page to fit more photos on a page).
