I love my husband's reflection in the mirror playing Mexican Train Dominoes and Jake playing Mad Libs with my kids, his sister, and her girlfriend while (unseen) Teala and Lisa do their annual "NF Ooo and Ahh" tour of Teala's apartment decor. I just took pictures (because I am not that into games or decor), and I thought this summed up the year: me with my camera and reflecting on my beautiful life through pictures.
Teala has been a house mother at four different sororities since 1995, and we have celebrated New Year there (with the exception of the two years we were in Malaysia, and she took a break from being a housemother) where the kids have a big house to play hide and seek (they even did it this year) and have fun while the adults discuss their highs and lows for the year and play games (or whatever - sometimes I scrapbook). It is a relaxed and lovely time, and this year Jennifer joined us for the third year, and it was Abigail's first!
This photo is me in a year and has double meaning as I reflection on 2011's Project 365. It has been so delightful this year because I didn't stress about getting the perfect picture each day. I took a lot less (2200 after deletions compared to 10,000 in 2007) and did less "artsy" and stunningly beautiful pictuers that would get ooo's and ahh's from my fellow photog friends and just captured my beautiful life. All life is beautiful! I hope you enjoyed it! I sure did.

I love all my Christmas cups and my two special (one new) Christmas pots, but it is fun to get back to my grandmother Wardie's special cups!
I looked EVERYWHERE for my Messiah song book that I purchased last Christmas but never got around to going through. I wanted to go through it this year as I listened to the audiobook: Handel's Messiah: Comfort for God's People, but I couldn't find it! Wouldn't you know that the day AFTER Christmas, when I was going to get my equipment for working on my photo albums, that I would find it in the closet I checked at least five time while looking for it three weeks before! Well, no matter, I just went through my favorite CD again!
